Eliot Wayne (Partridge)
Hello to anyone checking this out. I just finished one song and uploaded it to SoundCloud.com. I try to put together Great Blues Rock music and express/ write about genuine life experience. Having the vehicle to express myself, even abstractly at times.. lyrically, vocally and instrumentally, is something I feel fortunate to be able to do. The more I write and record and release, the more opportunity I have to evolve from the overall process. I will be posting more blogs here for anyone interested. http://Eliotwaynepartridge.com
Great Blues rock
This latest song STOOD UP SAINT was written in 2016. I’d done some home recordings with my phone but finally got in the studio with Brannen Temple https://www.brannentemple.com/. I couldn’t round up a bass player, so I just laid something down after but that’s an enjoyable experience. Bass is a very cool instrument and can affect a lot.. Or not.
I used a couple small amps.. An old Crate https://reverb.com/item/16837270-crate-gx-15-guitar-combo-amp-great-for-practice-but-loud-enough-for-gigs-good-beginner-amp
and small Fender https://www.fender.com/collections/champion-ii-amplifier-series with built in amp sounds and affects. I used to feel strongly about needing natural vintage sounds but when I use a bit more overdrive, the solid state, basic amps do pretty well.. I think, I hope anyway. Maybe next time I record, I will have my older vintage amp ready to go, with the right speakers. Here’s what I used.

Eastwood Baritone Guitars
I first purchased a baritone guitar in 2015. A talented friend and engineer/ producer Bryan Jones https://www.teknixconcepts.com/internationalroadie/bryanjones/ suggested I try to play a baritone and tune up, instead of always tuning down, with a regular guitar. It works well and and also the scale is a nice breather sometimes.

Here is a few videos of a home jam back when I had the other one. I had another Eastwood Baritone that was a green – blue color, with the same neck as this one but I had to let it go. I’d like to get another one again at some point.
Thanks for taking a moment to check out my blog! Hopefully you found the music to be at least a moment or two of enjoyment!
I hope to have two more songs from the studio finished and ready to share soon. There are some older finished songs on this link as well:
