Mountains

This song was written in 2015/2016. I wrote it in the middle of a situation I was affected by but unable to affect. It’s also about drug overdoses and the sobering, natural beauty of Mountains. New Southern Rock Blues Rock.

There’s only so much I believe I can express, through straight forward talk. Being able to ‘paint’ a lyrical picture along with music, isn’t always concise but alot of times, it’s a language that someone may be more willing to hear. New Southern Rock Blues Rock.

‘The Listen’ , is to me, like what you sense from certain people and then some you don’t but it still might be there.

“Who plays to win.?” Not everyone is.

Whose got the listen? Who plays to win?

Mountains they see it all and bring God in.

Held by some lesson. Lampin out to fade.

One breath may save it all. One touch we made.

Got down to tame yet? Wiley she made me cry.

Slick styles and sentiment rode up and down goodbye.

Blown down the shiver. Played off the grade.

Broke up that fairy tale. Wonderin’ what I made.

Here’s the take of the song I did today. We just about finished this one in the studio, so I should have that out in the near future, if anyone wants to hear it with drums and bass.

I’m playing a Fender Stratocaster and champ 2.

The backgrond is an oil painting I did half my life ago.
