Rhythmical concepts
Being both a musician and a visual artist is something I haven’t considered in depth, until now. I would say the rhythmical concept, within a particular work of visual art, is the most obvious aspect to me. I will share my perspective on How Music influences Painting Styles and Color Choices.
As I consider the songs I have written, musically and sonically (not lyrically). . I see/hear a simplicity or a basic feel. To me, it is an anchor of sorts. I would like for the listener to have a feeling of where the song is. Even though it is moving. Something to move with, tap their foot to etc.
Static while in Motion
I sometimes use the term Lifeforce. I’ve read about and watched videos on the concept of parallel universes. Within the dynamics of Parallel universes, there is an area discussed of attention being given to a process. When the process is being watched, it behaves differently than when it’s not being watched. ( Not sure how they know this unless they are watching . half humor).
I’m not so sure it’s even possible to NOT have simultaneous activity, taking place, in any activity. What I refer to as Lifeforce is a consciousness or something I ( in my opinion) need to be aware of and paying attention too. I believe we all have to respect this Force in order to stay.. and act, or not act.. in a realm with safety and courtesy of our fellow man.
Experience and Action
As I drive down the freeway ( with or without the stereo on ) or wait in line, there seems to be an external and internal. Varying levels of either possibly, hopefully not tripping one another up. This concept would be something I would use as an anology in comparing how I experience working on a drawing or painting. Also, when developing or being a part of the development of a song. . and possibly the performance of the song, in it’s completed form.
This is a start of describing; and my exprience, with How Music influences Painting Styles and Color Choices. I’m also attempting to write in a way that non artists and musicians, might appreciate where artists are at in their process. At least me as an artist anyway. I see art or craftsmanship as something we are all doing, in one area or another.
Limited edition prints
I recently fired up an etsy page: EWPART.ETSY.COM.
The images on there are close to ready for print. My hopes are that if someone is interested in a piece.. or a series, I could print the art out and detail it and finish it by hand. At that point, the ordering party would have the number #1 print of a limited edition group of prints. ( The originals I am not certain at this point about selling ).
