I started playing guitar at 11 years old. I had been playing saxophone and some piano but was really interested in the guitar. When I was 22, I wrote my first song . It was Blues rock. I was also really into the grunge sound and New Alternative rock .. So these styles influenced my writing and singing as well. As time went on I heard the Gap band and Vince Gill . ZZ top, Ozzy, Van Halen and Metallica were also influences. The first songs I tried to learn were Crazy Train and Pride and Joy – SRV. Michael Jackson Beat it was a favorite song but I think my all time favorite is Lay Down Sally – Eric Clapton.
Eliot Wayne

I’ve been rehearsing some older songs alone for the last few months, planning to do some live shows/ a show. It’s been interesting getting it going again. Maybe 2007 or so I think was the last time I played with a band, besides in a studio quick or shooting a video.. while I was writing a song or singing to the radio. I did a solo show in about 2018 and have written songs off and on since the early 90’s. Most everything I’ve written has been Blues Rock – New Alternative rock. I wasn’t sure I could get this going again and had to tune down a step.. but it’s progressing well thankfully.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q43cOjvfDkY – Link to Lost in You. Written and recorded in 2004/5. Video was done in 2011 I believe. If you watch and listen to this one, it links to my main channel which has a bunch of newer home recording and stuff from 2011 to present.
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_GFdEVnchJ0SEJUru5Xy3A – This is another Eliot Wayne Link with higher quality recordings where I think you have to pay a subscription maybe. I make like .0001 cents per play or somethin like that.. but the recordings are better. Sundown in my heart is from 10 years ago and the other three, are from 2005 – 2006 .
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9J2RD_I2LRTSktGGwTGMWw – Partridge is my last name ( Wayne is my middle name ). This has the most recent studio quality recordings on it. Magical and Indiana girl were written and recorded in 2004/5. Give it was written around 2003 if I remember right. Tracked drums and bass in 2006 and then did a final vocal, guitar recording and mix in 2014ish. Same thing with Lit up . King in my head I wrote and recorded in 2012/2014.

All the links and Tik Tok stuff is a mish mash of some practice, scratch recordings.. To the best quality stuff I have recorded .. mostly on the Apple I tunes , Spotify and Youtube.

Eastwood baritone guitars – Blues rock – New Alternative rock
This is the guitar I’ve been playing mostly lately. A guy named Bryan Jones suggested I get a baritone and tune up, rather than use a guitar and tune down. (Musician, engineer. He recorded Lost in you and Fallin’ and a few other ones back in 2004/5). It was a great idea and has been working well. I had bought a turquoise/green bodied baritone from Eastwood back 10 years ago or so but had to sell it. When I ordered this one, I figured the black and white was an anywhere look. Maybe someday I’ll order another one like I had before.

Crate Amplifiers / Fender Amplifiers
An old friend Eric White sold me the Crate amp with a Les Paul- ish guitar a long time ago. It sounds really great for a little, solid state amp. It’s been with me through many trials and tribulations! The Fender I just bought a couple weeks ago. Along with the Crate, it gives a really big sound for what they are. Plus I can A /B them and mess with room sounds and levels. I mostly just keep them running together. The A B box is a JHSPedal.
Present
When I first started playing live with a band in 1992, I was definitely ready in my heart and desire. As time went on though, I discovered my lack more and wasn’t much for following anyone else’s ideas or creative paths. Not really sure I was wrong, I think it’s just timing, gaining expertise.. or getting there . .and experience. I have definitely met and learned from some amazing people and artists on my journey. God willing I can continue to progress in the Arts and in all areas necessary. I appreciate you reading this blues rock – New Alternative rock blog.
Here is also a link to my visual art, where you can buy framed or unframed prints. There also is an option for T-shirts and a few other things.
