Hello, My name Is Eliot Wayne Partridge. I’ve been into drawing and painting since I was 3 or 4 years old. My dad’s older brother was an artist and drew cartoons and I was always taken to another world in a way, watching him draw. My father was creative, humorous and played guitar and my mother was musical and creative. I was fortunate my folks were supportive of my artistic direction. Animation graphic tees.
This is a basic time line of some of my first drawings/ paintings . As I mentioned, If you go to partmaschka.com there are more high quality images and options to order. Large colorful prints or black and white prints are available. They offer to frame them as well and the Graphic Tees option, amongst other printable items.
Early efforts – History

My first painting was of the city. It was more just the idea of it, blocks with the sun going down behind it. It was like I could be there when I was painting it.. The world of it all. I continued to draw and paint different things, some were attempts at realism, which I wasn’t great at. Some abstract, surrealism and animation. I think I was around 4 to 9 years old when I did these. I ended up going to the Jr. Olympics and placed 3rd in the discus.!
More Characters / Animation
These were mostly done between 12 and 14 years old. When I was in Jr. High, I was one of the kids chosen to paint a mural on the wall. I used acrylic paint and painted a Chevy Camaro with a supercharger. . There were guys from other classes as well that did murals. Mostly rock art/ Album art or cars.
These are a little more advanced characters . I always had a thing for drawing cars and motorcycles too. I had hoped to become a vehicle designer at some point, or an airplane pilot but here I am.

Some incredible hulk influence in this one above. Pencil is a medium I like a lot and had done a pencil drawing of a girl friend in college. Realism.. and it turned out better than I was thinking I could do. I believe drawing, painting is a space where I can explore tangible expression, freely. Especially the Surrealism, Animation and Abstract approaches. Realism is great though and I hope to work on it more .. It would enhance what I would do in the future.. Not sure when I did this one above . I do recall feeling like I was getting better or had a day in the zone with it.
Realism
This was a study we did from 6 different distances. . Here’s 2.

First attempt at a surrealistic pencil drawing
I was enthralled with Mc Escher and Dali. . This was my first try at doing some sort of that type of thing. I also had a friend that would draw liquid well, in Jr. High and that influenced me too. Not much originality really but I recall I was excited about it when I drew it. A futuristic cowboy hat maybe and a musical instrument..?

Experimenting with different mediums
In high school I did a lot of pencil and colored pencil drawings. A lot of these are in storage but when I got into college I started to use pastels more. . ( I did a few oil paintings but pastels were cheaper and didn’t need all the ventilation and clean up ).
Early 1990’s – Large Pastels 4′ up to 14′

This one was 8 by 14 feet
this one was 8 by 14 feet

Colored pencil early 1990’s
I remember reaching another level around this point, experimenting with what I wanted to draw. When I realized I could bring some of these ‘worlds, feelings, ideas’ to life on paper, it was exciting and helped me to continue. Possibly for colorful abstract expressionism surrealism art, for graphic tees.

I graduated from the University of Nebraska in December of 1995. I received a Bachelor of arts and minors in Sociology and Criminal justice.
Next phase / Move to Austin
I left Lincoln in 1996 and came to Austin, really to pursue music more than anything. There was a place called gallery Lombardi where I had some paintings hanging but never sold anything. It looked nice on the walls though! I kept on drawing when the waves would come.. There are some pieces on my art storefronts website that I did during this time. Here is one I did when I was a barback at a fancy restaurant. I would sketch before our shift started and I was pretty tripped out about life around then. I would also draw while I worked the door at a bar, here in town. There is at least one drawing from that period on the partmaschka, com website as well called doorman.
Some of the stuff I was doing around this time was starting to go to a darker place. I’m not totally sure if darker is an accurate way to describe it really.. I was experimenting with different things in life and pretty lost and depressed. . Solitude became isolation and so on. At the same time though, I was staying productive. Not great though socially.. Drawing ( and music, guitar and bass and drums at the time) was a way to be my own therapist. Experiencing the world in my head and outside. Exploring and expressing a variety of anger, insecurities and emotional pain, in a much more harmless way, than it could have been. Not to mention the elation and sense of accomplishment, that comes from the fruits of our labors.
Interactions
It was neat to see or hear someone’s emotion / response when they saw something I was working on. I remember one person saying I was ‘to far in’. Than another would say cool! Or, hmmm, what is that? Ahhh. ok. It was a way to gauge where I was at in the world too .. and spiritually. I sold some pieces during this time. I felt like I had a lot of improving to do but was glad I sold a couple .
I’m fortunate now and was then, to have the ability to purge and apply, in this way. As I think back about, say Stephen King and other writers similar to him. . Whatever it is as human beings, within a lot of us (I would say. . Or some).

More Austin
I started using a lot more pen because I couldn’t go backwards.. Which was freeing in ways and got me looser. Mostly Bar doorman drawings, these next ones.

More oil painting
Here are 2 more oil paintings I did in my garage in 1997/98. To me they fall under the Colorful abstract expressionism surrealism art style. They aren’t quite finished so maybe someday I will go back and work more on them. (There are 2 others listed under Abstract expressionism art on my partmaschka.com site).

Move to California

Things had started to lighten up. When I moved to California, a weight lifted. I started to realize consistent joy, for the first time in my adult life. . Or maybe ever. California was cool for me, I think it had to do with being close to the ocean too.
As far as artistic time spent out there, it was mostly music related (If you click the blue ‘music’ to the left, it will take you to my main channel) but I think I did these previous 2 drawings when I lived out there. There was a woman I knew at my apartment. She was studying to be an architect and her brother was a mechanic. They lived upstairs with his little boy. I’d teach her English a little and we’d sit by the pool and I’d draw there too. It was right across the street from the Van Nuys airport. I saw saw Lorenzo Lamas riding a scooter out of the airport driveway walking to the store lol. Lou Meyers the Actor lived upstairs in my apt building and I’d play him my music. He’d share an older wiser perspective with me. He was a cool cat. . Awesome times.
Really amazing times actually. Gold’s gym and I had a job as a courier and would deliver packages to famous people often. I gave my CD to Harrison Ford .. He was receptive at least. Many stories.

Move back to Nebraska, St. Louis / 2002
I was living in my truck in Los Angeles and working as a delivery guy and part time at a music store. It seemed I was loosing focus quite a bit, on pursuits of music and my old friend Luke, who lived in St. Louis offered for me to come there and stay with him. I was there for 6 months and then went back to my hometown. Lincoln, Nebraska. I tried a stint at doing architectural renderings. A guy gave me a chance and paid me 250.00 for one I did. Most of the architects I talked to said I had more of a fine art style. . That I would have to focus specifically on rendering skills, to have success. I was still more in the working guy mode anyway so I just let it go. It’s a neat craft though for sure.
Prismacolor markers / colored pencil
This medium, along with pastels was very cool when I finally tried it. Definitely would like to do more.

2003 and after – Austin
I came back to Austin full time in 2003 and started Mighty E’s moving. I’m hoping to transition out of the moving lifestyle, into visual art and music full time. This blog and links might help!
I ended up doing a series of Pastel paintings over about a 2 year period . I lived in an apartment in the arboretum and had gone on a date. .. Really liked this gal but I was living a pretty ‘unrefined’ life and she split quick. Hurt I was! . but inspired . I think I started around 2008? . Mostly pastels and those are all on the partmaschka.com and available as prints, accept for one. I will post a picture of it first here.
You may find some designs that might work for interesting art colorful abstract expressionism, surrealism art, graphic tees also. . Should anyone be interested in originals, either finished or commissioned, please send me an email ewpguitar@gmail.com. Or call 512 502 8300 . Thanks for reading all this and I hope you found the timeline of my visual art, at least somewhat entertaining!. Here are a few other ones, up to around 2019. The last 2 and a half years I’ve been editing the art on the art store fronts site. There was a flood and some of my drawings got ruined. However, I was able to take pictures of what was left and utilize a feature on photoscape. It allowed me to basically do oil painting type textures and bring the damages pieces to life again.
This is one that I was able to salvage.
